Newly launched at the beginning of 2011, Mumo is a young British brand that works with ethical fabrics and artisan techniques from Brazil and transforms them into modern, eclectic accessories for home. Inspired by Rio de Janeiro’s uber chic urban-beach lifestyle, its collection of pillows is produced using a number of luxury organic and fair-trade textiles from Brazil, many of which Mumo has previously supplied to various fashion designers such as Vivienne Westwood, Bora Aksu, John Rocha and Aimee McWilliams. All the fabrics have unique attributes that add intrinsic value to the products: recycled hake and salmon leather, ecological peace silk, organic jute and recycled canvas. International and artisan culture are Mumo’s main inspiration; exotic destinations and the unique craft and design that can be found there.
