The illustration pays homage to a true architectural design classic: the Centre George Pompidou. Designed in 1977 in the style of high-tech architecture by the architectural team of Richard Rogers and Renzo Piano, along with Gianfranco Franchini, the Pompidou Centre is a multidisciplinary cultural centre located in the heart of Paris.
Established by Danish graphic designer Kristina Dam in 2012, Kristina Dam Studio is one of the leading Scandinavian design studios. Beginning with a series of limited edition art prints, the brand has grown to include accessories, sculptures, furniture and lighting. The studio strives to merge art and interior, using honest and carefully selected materials – such as brass, marble, mirror, oak, stone, steel and glass. Its design ethos and philosophy could be described as Nordic Minimalism, with a focus on simple and graphic lines, strong attention to details, carefully selected natural materials and high end craftsmanship.
